What data the site collects, why it is needed and what happens to it afterwards.
Draft of 25 August 2026. The text is awaiting review by a lawyer.
Questions about the data collected by vakhiyo.com go to the editorial e-mail [email protected].
We keep what you entered yourself: an e-mail address or another contact, your name if you gave one, and the text of your message. The date of submission and the section of the site it came from are stored with it.
The file itself is kept, together with information about it: title, description, year, place, author or source, rights and tags. The owner’s name is credited on publication unless they ask otherwise.
Your IP address is remembered briefly in order to limit the number of form submissions, archive password attempts and file uploads. These records erase themselves after 15 minutes to 2 hours. Web server logs are kept by the hosting provider under its own rules.
There are no advertising pixels or third-party analytics on the site. The site counts views of its materials itself and shares this with no one: so that a repeat visit is not counted twice, an anonymised fingerprint of the address and browser is kept for 6 hours. We neither buy nor pass on contact lists.
The basis is your consent, given when you submit a form. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to the editors.
The site sets functional cookies: a session marker for the closed Archive section (it lives for 30 minutes of inactivity) and a login cookie for the editorial staff. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Nobody, apart from the hosting provider whose servers physically hold the site and the mail service through which the editors’ letters are sent. Both receive the data only for delivery, not for their own purposes. State authorities — on written request in the manner established by law.
You may ask what data about you we hold, require it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent and unsubscribe. Write to the editors. If a material has already been published in the archive, we will take it down while the matter is settled.
The site is not intended for independent use by children under 14. If you learn that a child has sent us their data, tell us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with the date of the update.
