OUR PROJECT

About us

We are a young generation of people from Vakhiyo who seek to preserve the memory of our ancestors, to respect their heritage and to pass it on to future generations.

Our ancestors left us not only history, culture and traditions, but also a sense of unity that binds us wherever we live today. This project was created as a mark of respect for their memory and as a space where we can preserve, study and tell the story of our shared heritage.

We want to bring together everyone from the Vakhiyo valley — wherever they live today: in Vanj, Tajikabad, Lakhsh, Sangvor, Sagirdasht, Panj, Kurgan, Jilikul, Shahrituz, Kubodiyon and other corners of Tajikistan, as well as outside the country.

Our site is a place for everyone who considers Vakhiyo part of their own history and wants to contribute to preserving our shared memory. We call on all Vakhiyochi from every corner of the world to support this project: to share knowledge, family stories, photographs, documents, recollections and other materials that will help preserve our heritage.

We believe that the memory of the past grows stronger when it is preserved together.

Our strength is in our unity.
Our heritage is in our memory.
Our future is in our hands.
